The following post is for an American audience only; all others will think I’m stupid for posting this aimed at only Americans
I need to clarify after my recent post in which I said I preferred the Biden wing of the democratic party. That’s not to say him per-say, but someone who’s cut from the same centrist cloth as him. He’s got his flaws and drawbacks like most of the others do, and therein lies my conundrum; there IS no perfect candidate, in my opinion. My personal preference is Mayor Pete, but he won’t appeal to some others because he’s gay. I wish we’d have moved beyond that being a dis-qualifier, but the election of our first black president caused such hateful vitriol, and a backlash that gave rise to the worst of humanity in a Piggly-Wiggly suit, Trump.
In my opinion, too much radical change scares some people. Personally, I’m all for most of the far-left agenda, and would like to see almost all of it come to pass, but feel it’s unrealistic to more conservative voters. How is imposing our will on them any different than them imposing theirs on us? Slow and steady change is the preferred approach, in my opinion. But no matter who wins the democratic nomination, I think, other than the right-leaning voters, we can all agree that the most important imperative is beating Trump’s ass come November. If he’s reelected, God help us, everyone.
