When Jesus lays His hand upon
your shoulder, be aware
that He has come to take you
to His mansion over there.

His touch will give you peace within
’cause knowing it’s your day
to join Him in his Paradise,
forever there to stay.

No pain or sorrow, tears or fear,
no anger or despair …
that’s something to look forward to
’cause we know that He cares.

He’ll guide our feet and lead us on
’til on that glorious day,
when Jesus lays His hand on us
and takes our soul away.

Hi, there, fellow Christian believer. I appreciate the sentiments expressed here as I write similar Jesus poems that have been shared on the website. In your poem, I saw a few things you should consider editing.

to join Him in His Paradise,

despair and cares don’t match, yet despairs and cares seems better for despairs can be many in our lives, rather than just one despair, or to despair.

’til could be changed to till or the line phrased as

    Until that glorious day

    and takes our souls away.

After reading the poetry here, I saw the phrase about giving a star rating. IS THERE A WAY to create extra line spaces below your last line to add your name there or some copyright notice? Or if you have a website or poems elsewhere? Some way to give extra space before that give astar rating text is displayed here?

Also, is there a way you could add some Gospel picture for this poetry? I like to use free stock images from websites like unsplash, pixabay and gratisography. There are clip art and painting pictures available elsewhere that could be useful, too.

This extra stuff is new to me, I have not figured out the pictures yet or the extra words. I thank you so much for the encouragement and the spirit

    Hi, Barb

A very nicely written little rhyming poem on a very touching subject. No corrections needed from what I can see.

    Hello Barb

Another beautiful poem from you. Your rhyming is always great and the poetry always tells a good story. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but always interesting to me.

    Thank you
